Avoid for roof work or if you have bony heels

I have a bump on the back of my heels that was caused by wearing boots and shoes with a rigid heel. As it happens, these boots have a seam at the exact height of the bump. There is some excess fabric/leather that rolls over the seam and it's scraping the skin off my heel. This problem is exacerbated by the stiff sole and slip-on design -- essentially, the boot doesn't flex when I walk, so my heel rises and rubs against the back with each step. These boots don't have laces, so the fit can't be tightened to get a "heel lock".I wear a US Men's 10-1/2 and have a wide foot and a regular width foot. These boots feel roomy compared to most 10-1/2 shoes. My wide foot is just slightly cramped at the edge. These boots come with thick insoles. With the insoles removed, the boots feel like a size 11 or larger and the toe box is wider.I tried wearing the boots on my roof and they felt uncomfortable and unsafe. The slip-on design allows for a lot of rubbing when walking on a sloped surface. Definitely go with a lace-up style for roof work. The workmanship is excellent. I could find no problems or "cut corners" aside from the rubbing seam in the heel. I like the convenience of the pull-on design. The two pull loops work well. Each boot weighs 823 g (1.8 lbs) and feels heavy in the hand.Product Suggestions: * Make the toe box slightly higher on the outside * Heel seam problem: use a stiff material for the "inner heel counter lining", OR make the heel cup taller, OR make the insole thinner, OR include an additional set of thin insoles

Excellent quality boots

I am very pleased and impressed with the excellent quality of these boots. They have an accurate and roomy fit and are truly comfortable to wear. They have a cushioned insole that makes these boots great for all day wear, and the tread has a fantastic grip protecting against slipping. I like how easy these boots are to slip on and appreciate that they are waterproof. These boots look attractive and are great for either work or casual wear. Pricing is reasonable for the excellent quality.

Attractive safety rated work boots that transition from work to play!

I like the quick slip-on design and sturdy leather construction. These work boots check all the boxes for ASTM safety ratings, and feel comfortable to wear for extended periods. They fit as expected, with plenty of room in the toe box for thick socks, and the arch support/cushioning is superb. I wore these boots for five hours the first day with no blistering or sore feet. They're also breathable and warm enough to wear outside in colder temperatures. These boots look great, and transition well from work to a lounge or other casual environment. They also have excellent traction for wet or icy conditions. I recommend buying these attractive work shoes for their comfort, quality construction and value, at under $110. You won't be disappointed!

7/5 star product. Awesome work boots!

I included pictures of dirty boots to show that I actually field tested this thing, extensively, before leaving this review. First off, the fit is fantastic. Leaves room for thicker socks, and you do not feel the steel toe or anything strange pushing against your feet—and this is a guy with wide feet and high arches. The toughness is second to none, and it glides on and off your feet with reasonable ease. Very solid to stand on, and it almost feels 'better' to walk with this rather than stand still. These boots are made to WORK.My favorite feature that makes it a 7/5 star product? Look on the inside... see that suede material at the back of your heels? Yeah... if you know, you know. (Basically, it prevents wear and tear at arguably the most sensitive area of most shoes, extending the lifespan of these boots). The first I got for free under the vine program, but I'll be gladly purchasing a second pair before the end of the year, just to have as a backup.
