I was really disappointed when I opened them. First off, I already wasn't happy with the color I THOUGHT they were going to be. They look like a weird camel tan shade in the pictures, and I was already trying and struggling to match outfits in my head with them. But... they're ORANGE! Hahahahaha. I have very few things to match orange. But I do have a few things that go very well with them. And after wearing them, I know I'm just going to have to find new clothes to match, because they grew on me, and I absolutely love them.Inititial presentation is up to par, with what you'd expect from a good pair of boots, and then I love that they come with three different (albeit wild) colored laces. I wasn't excited about the red ones, but was pleased to see they at least had like a dark forest green I could rock (and then bright yellow. LoL).Materials all look and feel of good quality, and durable. Reminds me of a big brand of boots everyone wore when I was a teenager, and I loved, except more of a hiking version, and maybe even a step up from them.I think they're advertised as "soft toe", but the toes are very rigid. You have to push real hard to see that they're not steel or composite. Almost feels like there's an extra layer of something there, enforcing it.I hated the way the tongue folds in, along the middle. I thought that would be super uncomfortable, but it's not. That part hugs the top of your foot in a way that makes sense. It closes the gap between your foot and the bulk of the rest of the boot, and I Dig It.All in all, these boots are awesome, and Golden Retriever certainly has my attention. Would love to see more of their boots, as much as I like these. If you don't mind their being orange, I'm pretty sure you'll like them, too.
